22 February 2024 | Rome, Italy

Boldyn Networks (Boldyn), one of the world's largest neutral host providers, today announced the appointment of Antonino Ruggiero as the new Chief Executive Officer for Italy.

Before his appointment as CEO, Ruggiero has held the role of Chief Technology Officer since the company’s entry into the Italian market, with a fundamental contribution to the business development in the country, including the definition of #Roma5G, a project that will include the installation of the first advanced 5G infrastructure in the Italian capital

Previously, the executive held leadership positions in TIM Brazil, TIM Italy, and Omnitel (Vodafone Italy). He has extensive experience in building and running interconnected complex networks in both Europe and South America.

Antonino Ruggiero, Chief Executive Officer at Boldyn Networks Italia, stated: “I am thrilled to join Boldyn Networks in this new role, which entails a fundamental piece of work in building an interconnected country. I am confident we’ll be facilitating the technological development of the entire Italian territory with the deployment of advanced 5G infrastructures. Starting with the capital city of Rome, transforming it into a connected, digital, and sustainable smart city, at the forefront of European cities”.

Andrew McGrath, Group Chief Commercial Officer at Boldyn Networks said: “Antonino has a proven track record in building Boldyn’s business and contributions to the Italian market. As a CTO of Italy he was instrumental in developing the requirements for the #Roma5G project, and, now as head of the business, I have no doubt he will continue to drive this compelling project to fruition, while also leading our team in other important connectivity initiatives.
