What this means for London's boroughs
Full fibre connectivity can add value in a number of ways; upgrading CCTV connectivity to improve public safety, enhancing connectivity to public buildings such as libraries and leisure centres to support digital service innovation for residents, as well as creating a public asset for longer term digital innovation.
New connectivity opportunities for London’s boroughs
Building on TfL's extensive asset reach, such as its 3000kms of above ground ducts and 200kms on tunnels, Boldyn’s new cross capital fibre networks and multiple multi-operator interconnection points, create new opportunities to boost full fibre connectivity in London’s boroughs. We worked with the Greater London Authority (GLA), TfL and the boroughs of Wandswoth, Richmond Upon Thames and Merton to roll out a new fibre network to enable better council services and boost digital inclusion.

In 2021, Boldyn Networks entered into a ground breaking concession with TfL that allows use of TfL assets such as tunnels and stations, and thousands of street-level assets such as fibre ducts, bus shelters and lighting columns to provide new high speed, high capacity reliable mobile and fibre connectivity.
