Boldyn Networks amplifies Nashville Yards with next-gen 5G connectivity
Southwest Value Partners and AEG selected Boldyn Networks (Boldyn), one of the world’s leading neutral host providers, to deliver state-of-the-art, high-speed 5G connectivity to Nashville Yards, a world-class 19-acre mixed-use development. Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, Nashville Yards is a walkable urban community featuring high end hospitality offerings; The Pinnacle, a state-of-the-art live music and event venue; class A+ highly amenitized office space and residences; along with retail, fitness, cinema, and healthcare offerings. Boldyn’s selection showcases the trend of leading developers taking greater control of connectivity in mixed-use districts for the benefit of their tenants, residents and guests and fans.
“We built Nashville Yards to be one of the most technologically advanced mixed-use developments of its kind,” says Cary Mack, Managing Partner, Southwest Value Partners.“Building on our partnership withBoldyn Networks, Nashville Yards is equipped to provide world-class wireless service for businesses, residents, and visitors—whether they’re attending a concert at The Pinnacle, working in an office tower, or simply enjoying the vibrant restaurant and entertainment scene.”
“Fan experiences are continually becoming more and more digital at concerts and shows, requiring new levels of robust connectivity” says Mike DuCharme, Regional Vice President, AEG Presents. “This new installation will help enhance our ability to deliver seamless, fast communications for fans and staff alike, all while handling larger volumes and demands on the network.”
The Pinnacle, a 4,500-capacity live music and event venue operated by AEG Presents, and developed by Southwest Value Partners and AEG, is already leveraging the power of Boldyn’s network to enhance fan experience, with a robust spring lineup featuring Kacey Musgraves, Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney, Wilco, Jack White, and more.
Boldyn’s network is being deployed across the Nashville Yards campus, ensuring seamless connectivity throughout this dynamic urban hub. By taking connectivity into their own hands, Nashville Yards is eliminating dependence on carrier budget cycles and ensuring they stay in control of their own timelines. This proactive approach sets a new benchmark for smart, interconnected developments, delivering seamless, high-performance wireless coverage for tenants, visitors, fans, and businesses - on their schedule, not the carriers’.
“Nashville Yards is redefining what’s possible for mixed-use developments by prioritizing world-class connectivity from day one,” said Christos Karmis, CEO of Boldyn Networks, US. “Leading developers like Southwest Value Partners and AEG recognize that taking control of the timelines and quality of the networks in their developments differentiates their properties. Boldyn’s network infrastructure is built to meet the growing demands of businesses, residents, and visitors alike—providing seamless 5G coverage without relying on uncertain carrier budgets and timing. Our Connectivity-as-a-Service has flexible terms that provide developers with control over one of the most important attributes of their developments, the ability to connect and conduct business.”
A game-changer for connectivity
Southwest Value Partners and AEG partnered with Boldyn Networks to seamlessly integrate a state-of-the-art distributed antenna system (DAS) network throughout Nashville Yards, aligning deployment with the development’s build schedule. Originally planned as a carrier-funded project, the network shifted to Boldyn when AEG and Southwest Value partners were looking to ensure that all 3 major wireless carriers were on-air and providing service for opening night.
Boldyn’s network was successfully deployed with all three major wireless carriers on-air for the opening of The Pinnacle entertainment venue, demonstrating the efficiency of Boldyn's Connectivity as a Service to deploy robust, scalable networks on developer’s and tenant’s timelines. The on-going collaboration guarantees that the development is equipped with high performance infrastructure, ready for technology upgrades in the years to come.
Aligning with industry trends
The recent CRE study: "Location. Location. Connectivity." revealed that Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity now outrank price and amenities when it comes to leasing decisions for office space. Notably, 96% of business leaders expressed willingness to pay higher rent for robust and reliable connectivity at their premises. Additionally, 79% in the US are looking to move to a new building within the next five years, underscoring the growing importance of reliable connectivity for commercial tenants. The deployment at Nashville Yards exemplifies this trend, positioning the development as a leader in providing the advanced connectivity that modern businesses demand.
A model for the future of mixed-use connectivity
With sports & entertainment venues and CRE projects increasingly prioritizing digital infrastructure, Nashville Yards is a prime example of how forward-thinking developments can take control of their connectivity and create value by funding high-performance networks.
Nashville Yards stands as a flagship example of how property owners and operators can future-proof their assets with next-generation, carrier-agnostic wireless solutions.
