Boldyn Networks welcomes distinguished technology executive Nicki Palmer to Board of Directors

Boldyn Networks (Boldyn), a world leader in shared networks infrastructure, announced that Nicola (Nicki) Palmer, a distinguished technology executive, board member and advisor will be joining Boldyn’s Board of Directors in December. A highly regarded leader in tech and telecom, Nicki held several key leadership positions with Verizon over a three decade career. She served as Verizon’s Chief Engineering Officer as well as Chief Product Development Officer and Chief Technology Officer of Verizon Wireless where she led the 4G and 5G network deployments.

Nicki serves as a board director for the following companies: nVent Electric plc, NextNav Inc, Zayo Group Holdings Inc, and Astound Broadband LLC. In addition, Nicki has worked tirelessly to promote education and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), especially for women. She serves on the board of directors for the National Academy Foundation and chairs its STEM Advisory Committee with the mission of providing more opportunities for high school students to be college and future-ready. She also serves on the advisory board of BreakThroughTech, an initiative of Cornell Tech that works at the intersection of academia and industry to propel more women and underrepresented communities into technology degrees. Nicki is a member of Penn State’s Corporate Advisory Council and a board member of the Global Women in Telecom Network.

Nicki is an industrial engineer from The Pennsylvania State University and has an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Among many recognitions, she was named one of the Most Influential Women in Wireless, a Top 10 Women in Telcom, a Top 10 5G People to Watch, a Top 100 CIO/CTO Leader in STEM, a Top 10 Leader in Mobile Diversity Equity and Inclusion, a POWER Woman by Moves Magazine, and highlighted as a Female Disruptor by Authority Magazine.
